This time of year, we all love a delicious slice of pumpkin pie, cool, smooth, and richly spiced, with that indispensable dollop of whipped cream on top. But that’s not the only way of enjoying the autumn season’s signature bright orange vegetable.

At the Dairy Godmother you can enjoy a frosty scoop of pumpkin ice cream, while at the Red Rocks Pizza restaurant you can sip a delicious seasonal pumpkin martini with your friends (try it, everyone’s raving!).

At Bamian, the savory Afghan pumpkin dishes are raved over.  Sauteed pumpkin with kebab, pumpkin with yogurt and mint, etc.

Great Harvest bread company bakes a wonderful gooey, sticky, and chocolatey chocolate chip pumpkin bread.  Now that is worth trying!

Finally, there are of course the pumpkin desserts – classic pumpkin pie at Blue and White Carryout is a winner, as is the famous pumpkin cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory.
